Rachelle Jack – Second Grade
Rachelle Jack is a passionate and innovative teacher, mentor and counselor. Ms. Jack attained her Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Communications from University of Phoenix. She has years of experience in family counseling, crisis counseling and intervention. Rachelle is a communication specialist, developmental trainer, and seminar facilitator with over a decade of proven experience in management and training that is solidly grounded in creating a positive work and learning environment. Recognized as being a consensus builder amid her colleagues and staff, she has successfully conceptualized, developed, and implemented innovative programs that responded quickly to emerging needs and trends.
She began teaching 2nd grade at Create Academy in 2017. As the Giant Onyx Mentorship Coordinator, she established community partnerships for the purpose of obtaining financial support and recruitment of volunteers and young adults. Rachelle assisted in the mentorship and development of high school and college aged youth, encouraging them to complete their educational goals while developing the skills necessary to become effective leaders within the community. The organization endeavors to contribute to the development of community through partnerships, mentorship, and scholarships.
Rachelle Jack completed her internship at the City of Phoenix Fire Department, Community Assistance Program as a Behavioral Health Specialist; Crisis Responder. She attained hands on experience and knowledge in crisis counseling, crisis intervention, intake assessment and planning, besides working closely with state agencies such as the City of Phoenix Police Department, Family Advocacy Center, and Child Protective Services to ensure that clients were cared for in an appropriate manner. She offered vital assistance and implemented effective service plans through collaboration with such agencies, clients, and their families.
With more than five years of volunteer experience in a higher education environment and experienced as an instructional assistant for primary grades tutoring math and reading for advanced students, she is committed to the community by being active in community organizations, as well as the local faith based community, having served 10 years as church community youth outreach coordinator.
